I highly recommend Rick (RDM Construction). I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again (which I'm doing for another project). His professionalism and quality of work stands out even more so given that most contractors I contacted didn't even return calls. We quickly scheduled a meeting to review what I wanted done (locating and fixing leaks; repairing damaged window/door frames; installing ceiling exhaust fan). His written estimate was reasonable and he was able to schedule me in the following week. During the job, he identified and repaired a few additional trouble spots, showing pictures of before/after shots so I could see the work done on roof/side of house. He followed up to see if there were any issues.

We bid projects either on a time and materials basis, but more often a lump-sum bid.
Are you licensed and insured?
We have worked for Real Estate Investment companies, Commercial construction, Multi-Family, and single Residential construction companies.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Never pay more than 50% upfront, 25% to start depending on cost of job is sufficient most of the time. Sign a contract with contractor. If your hunch or intuition tells you something about a contractor intially, it's probably correct.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What is their budget and desired timeline Are they willing to make design changes if items are unavailable How do I want the contractor to enter/exit my home and what do they do for dust control
